Dubai Founders HQ: Dubai Founders HQ: Let the Founders Talk
Most startup ecosystem brands default to announcements. Program launches. Application deadlines. Portfolio milestones. There is always something to announce.
The problem is that announcements do not build community. They update it.
When we started working on Dubai Founders HQ’s social presence, we made one strategic shift. Stop leading with what the organization does. Start leading with who is doing it. Specifically, the founders. Raw insights. Real journeys. Told in their own words.
Founder Storytelling
The audience for a startup hub is made up of people who are, or who want to be, founders themselves. They are not scrolling for news. They are looking for proof that the journey is survivable. That people like them have done it.
When you put a real founder in front of a camera and let them talk, something different happens. The Founders Spotlight became Dubai Founders HQ’s top Instagram post of the month. It did not just get views. It got saves and shares at a rate that points to genuine connection rather than passive consumption. The audience held onto it.
Community-First Content
Partnership content is usually some of the weakest stuff on a brand’s feed. Two logos. A generic caption about exciting collaborations. Mutual resharing that nobody outside both companies cares about.
The Antler x Dubai Founders HQ content worked differently because it was not framed as a partnership announcement. It was framed as evidence of an ecosystem. Two organizations, both in the business of building founders, showing up in the same space and meaning it.
That post ranked number one on LinkedIn for the month.
Video As Voice
Founder interviews, event highlights, program walkthroughs. The through-line was always the same: give people a window into what life at Dubai Founders HQ actually looks like.
You can read a caption about a program and come away with information. You watch a founder talk about the day everything changed and you come away with something harder to articulate. That feeling is what makes someone decide to apply, attend, follow, share.
Watch time on Instagram grew 294%. Video drove three times the engagement of every other format.

Reach and engagement tend to pull in opposite directions. Reaching more people usually means reaching people who care less. When both go up together, the content found something real.
